Hotel
Located in the heart of Baltimore’s beautiful and historic Inner Harbor, the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel, which sits directly across the street from the waterfront, will serve as this year’s conference hotel. Recently renovated guestrooms and conference rooms, many of which look directly onto the harbor itself, will provide a wonderful backdrop to this year’s JHUMUNC. Steps away from some of the area’s best sights and attractions, including the National Aquarium in Baltimore and the Maryland Science Center, the hotel is also incredibly close to 120 dining and shopping options. Many of these options are located in a mall, the Gallery, which is part of this year's hotel!
Delegates and advisors will have plenty of opportunities to browse the shops and dine at the restaurants of the Gallery or the adjacent Harborplace mall, which is connected to the Renaissance via a skybridge. The hotel also has a state-of-the-art fitness center and large pool with a lifeguard on duty for delegates who do not want to leave their daily calisthenics at home. Moreover, the Renaissance is home to one of the best seafood restaurants in Baltimore, the Watertable restaurant, and a cafe that should satisfy any delegate's hunger pangs prior to the start of committee session.
In the hotel rooms themselves, each delegation will find unbelievably comfortable beds, plush furniture, and plenty of space. All rooms also come with Internet access, an iPod dock, a large flat screen television, and a safe for laptops and other valuables. Of course, JHUMUNC would not be complete without room service, and the Harborplace, which offers room service until 1 AM, has plenty of in-room dining options. Finally, delegates can find coin-operated laundry machines on every floor, just in case they decide they need to wash something to look their best in committee session or at the Delegate Dance!
Hotel Fees
The fees that JHUMUNC delegations will be required to pay during the conference ARE MUCH LOWER than the fees posted on our hotel’s website. Hotel fees for JHUMUNC 2012 will be listed soon.
- The room rates for JHUMUNC 2012 are:
- Single: $129 total per night
- Double: $135 total per night
- Triple: $135 total per night
- Quad: $135 total per night
NOTE: Hotel fees do not include the applicable hotel tax (current 15.5%).
