Programming and Events

Please check back soon for the 2014 events and speakers. Here are the 2013 ones:

Part of what makes JHUMUNC such an incredible experience are the multiple events that our conference holds throughout the weekend, including:

Speaking Events for Delegates and Advisors:
There will be several opportunities for delegates and advisors to listen to and ask questions of guest speakers. These speakers will be esteemed members of the international relations community, as well as distinguished Hopkins professors from SAIS, which is consistently ranked NUMBER ONE in the world for post-graduate studies in international affairs, security studies, economics, and diplomacy. We will be inviting one such speaker to give the keynote address at our Opening Ceremonies on Thursday evening. We will also be inviting two such speakers to our conference hotel to take part in our Friday Morning Speaker Series, which is geared towards both delegates and advisors. There will be an additional speaker who will be invited to speak solely to advisors, the Secretaries-General, and members of the Secretariat during Friday afternoon committee session, as well as a panel of speakers that will be invited to speak solely to advisors during Saturday afternoon committee session.

Johns Hopkins University Tours and Admissions Breakfast:
Our conference wouldn't be complete without an opportunity to visit the beautiful Homewood Campus of the Johns Hopkins University. The Homewood Campus serves as the main academic and administrative center of the Johns Hopkins University. Homewood is the home of Hopkins's two major undergraduate schools - the Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and the Whiting School of Engineering - and many gorgeous Georgian-inspired, Federalist-styled buildings. Delegates will have the opportunity Friday morning to tour our exquisite campus and attend a breakfast event in the Admissions building, which will include an information session.

Charity Event:
JHUMUNC incorporates charitable giving into each conference. The charity we will be supporting this year will be Conservation International.
