JHUMUNC XXII’s official fundraising opportunity will be announced soon!
JHUMUNC 2018 was proud to donate last year’s fundraising proceeds to the International Rescue Committee(IRC) in Baltimore, MD. The IRC is a humanitarian organization with the objective of responding to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helping people survive and recover their lives after facing conflict and disaster.
The IRC works in over 40 countries and 28 US states – mobilizing and providing help in order to restore safety, health, education, economic well-being and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. The IRC functions to help people gain access to primary and reproductive health care, malnutrition treatments, clean drinking water and sanitation, schooling and educational opportunities, and financial and loaning services.
JHUMUNC believes a fundraising effort is only as good as the organization in question. The International Rescue Committee proves to be an excellent organization, with a passionate team and a history of improving people’s lives in various situations. The IRC also maintains a 91.16 out of 100 on Charity Navigator. We hope to continue the excellent spirit of charity that JHUMUNC attendees possess every year. We encourage all to contribute any sum to a great cause.
